The video is processed locally
The source video, decoded audio and MP3 are not uploaded to a Whisper Web application server. The page and MP3 engine still need to be downloaded, so this is not a promise of complete offline use.
Container support does not guarantee every codec
MP4, MOV and WebM can contain different audio codecs. The converter checks the real container and main audio track before it starts. If this browser cannot decode that track, re-export the video or try another current browser.

Where is my converted MP3?
If saving succeeds, open History, then Conversions in the same browser on the same device. You can play and download it there for up to 30 days. To keep a separate copy, choose Download MP3.
Where do downloaded MP3 files go?
Your browser chooses the download location or asks you to choose one. Open its Downloads list to find the file. Whisper Web cannot see the folder you chose.
Why is my conversion history empty?
Check that you are using the same browser, browser profile and device. Records expire after 30 days and may disappear sooner if site data is cleared or private browsing ends. A copy you already downloaded is separate from this history.
Which bitrate should I choose?
Start with 192 kbps for general use, or 128 kbps for smaller speech files. 320 kbps creates a larger file but cannot restore detail missing from the original. Check the estimate before converting and listen to the result.
Is conversion free, and is my video uploaded?
Conversion is free and needs no account. Your video and the resulting MP3 are processed on your device. The page and MP3 engine still need to download over the internet.
Why won’t my MP4 convert?
An MP4 may have no audio, use an audio encoding your browser cannot decode, or be damaged. Read the error beside the tool. Try another browser or re-export the video with a supported audio track. Each file must fit within 300 MiB and 20 minutes.
Can I choose another audio track?
The converter uses the main audio track. It does not offer track selection or trimming. Audio with more than two channels is mixed down to stereo.
